We were fortunate to have as a speaker at our May 2018 pot luck gathering one of our own - Kimberly Hosler  -  who is active in the ever-growing groups in and 
around the Capitol Region/ Hudson Valley that fight for animal advocacy and animal rights issues. A number of folks asked  for information as to how they can get involved.   Below you will find links that Kimberly was kind enough to forward, as well as some other local and national groups.

Morgan's Cat Rescue and Cafe:  Remodeled and just opened as Wildflower Cafe in Red Hook, 
featuring amazing vegan burgers.   Hudson Valley Vegans is planning a dinner there this summer, and the owner will talk about her work.   
​A New Concept in The Hudson Valley:    Local  cafe has vegan menu shares space with Cat Rescue  -  
Note:  The menu looks to be all vegan and quite yummy.   I haven't tried it yet, but look forward to visiting.   For a die-hard cat fan, it might be hard to resist taking a furry friend home!

 The Vegan Tour of Ireland being offered in partnership with Celtic Tours, a full service tour operator that has been in business since the nineteen seventies.

Chris Mcglynn, The creator and organizer of this trip, wrote:   As a travel professional and someone who has been living a vegan lifestyle for almost two years now, I believe that there should be more travel opportunities specifically designed for vegan guests.  One of my travel partners, Celtic Tours, has worked to develop a vegan land tour of some of the more popular destinations in Ireland, including a vegan food tour in the City of Dublin and the Cliffs of Moher which tower about 700 feet above the Atlantic Ocean.  The Vegan Tour of Ireland will include some meals at vegan restaurants like The Happy Pear and will provide recommendations for vegan restaurants for the meals not included in the tour.  This trip is scheduled for October 5 through October 12, 2019, please contact me by email at chris.mcglynn@cruiseplanners.com, or by telephone at (845)697-3126 for more information.  Slainte!
